Kylie Minogue - The 2005 ShowGirl Greatest Hits tour is put on hold

Kylie was diagnosed in Melbourne with breast cancer and has postponed the Australian tour. Australian fans can obtain a ticket refund. Kylie has undergone successful surgery and now radiotherapy at the Cabrini hospital in Melbourne and is expected to make a full recovery, up to a year off is predicted. Kylie will undergo six months of intensive therapy plus a further six months resting to recuperate.
Jenny Senior operating surgeon said
"I'm very pleased to be able to confirm that the operation was successful"
"I feel confident that we caught the cancer in time and that she is now on the road to complete recovery,Kylie is currently resting after the operation and her spirits are high and she is feeling fine
."

Kylie said "I was so looking forward to bringing the Showgirl tour to Australian audiences, and am sorry to have to disappoint my fans."Nevertheless hopefully all will work out fine and I'll be back with you all again soon."

Kylie is now on the road of recovering from breast cancer, today she visited the cancer ward at the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, Australia. It was a pleasent surprise for the sick kids, the meeting was kept secret until the very last minute by organizers 'Challenge' ( kids-with-cancer support group.).

This was Kylie's first public appearance since May 7 last showgirl tour date in London. Earlier sister Dannii said, "I heard she's going to be fine. She's really lucky her cancer is treatable. She's getting better by the day. I can't wait to see her back on her feet. She's inspirational, she's a real fighter."
The treatment started on May 17 with surgery to remove the cancer cells, radiotherapy, check ups and home rest will continue for the foreseeable future.

Kylie agreed to do a fertility treatment after doctors warned her that chemotherapy could hinder the success of a future pregnancy.
